ARTISAN 2ND COORDINATION MEETING IN PARIS

The 2nd coordination meeting of the Erasmus+ ARTISAN project was held at the EDHEC BUSINESS SCHOOL, FRANCE, on the 9th and 10th of March 2017. The ultimate aim of this project is to develop training programmes, tools, and structures that can help family members (senior and junior members) in artisan and agro-tourism family businesses across Europe to enhance their entrepreneurial skills and competences. Thus the consortium of partners which is consisted by 7 organisations from 6 different EU countries is working very hard towards this goal.

The meeting was attended by all the members of the ARTISAN consortium.During the meeting all the participants had the opportunity to discuss the progress made so far, the problems faced in the first months of the project, and more importantly the consortium spent time to discuss the IO1 entitled: “State of the Art and Policy recommendations”, to organise the work needed for the development of IO2: “Empirical Study: Skill needs of family businesses in generational transition in the artisan and agro-tourism sectors” and to “construct" the skeleton of the ARTISAN training programme.

In more detail, at the beginning of the 2nd coordination meeting, UCLan Cyprus presented the IO1 report and received comments from the partners according to the feedback they received from their Advisory Board Members. Then ISOB presented the structure and the activities that all partners need to deliver in the following months for the preparation of the IO2 and EDHEC Business presented some suggestions for the content of the ARTISAN Training Programme, the courses that we can include, the methodology, the training tools and the implementation of the whole programme.

Furthermore, GrantXpert provided all partners with guidelines on dissemination activities. Our aim is to enhance project awareness by using traditional and new Medias.

The 2nd coordination meeting was very fruitful for all partners involved, since all together laid the basis formulating the educational training package.
