ADVISORY BOARD MEETING IN ITALY


On the 3rd of March 2017, an Advisory Board Meeting was held at the University of Palermo which was facilitated by Prof. Giovanni Ruggieri. The aim of this meeting was to inform the Advisory Board Members of Italy about the main aims and objectives of Artisan project, its structure and its important activities. Furthermore, the information collected by the research group of ARTISAN project concerning Agriturism and Artisan family businesses in the Italian context was shared.


The Advisory Board of Italy is consisted by the following members:

- Mr. Paolo Gobetti, Executive Director of Errequadro Srl

- Prof. Antonio Purpura, Full Professor of applied economics at the University of Palermo, former Secretary for Cultural Heritage in the Regional Government of Sicilian Region, Chairman of the Liaison Office of the University of Palermo

- Dr. Ettore Pottino, President of Confagricoltura for Palermo

- Dr. Giuseppe Montalbano, Vice President of Confartigianato.


The Italian Advisory Board expressed its appreciation for the project and reacted positively to the discussion sharing impressions and comments. They agreed with the aspects highlighted in the IO1 and the needs underlined. They mentioned that they will give us their support both from a scientific and an operative point of view, through the organization of training courses and meetings aiming to increase the awareness of the need of entrepreneurial skills.


On the 28th of March, a second Advisory Board Meeting was held at the University of Palermo which was facilitated by the project local coordinator, Prof. Salvatore Tomaselli with the help of Prof. Giovanni Ruggieri and Prof. Maria Francesca Cracolici.


The following people participated in this meeting:

- Dr. Ettore Pottino, President of Confagricoltura for Palermo;

- Dr. Giuseppe Montalbano, Vice President of Confartigianato.

And two additional members joined the board in this meeting:

- Dr. Maurizio Giambalvo, Partner Visit Sicily

- Dr. Andrea Vincenti, Aggregate Professor in Business Law at Kore University.


This meeting was held in the form of a lunch meeting and followed the second coordination meeting among the partner organizations which was held in Paris. The second Advisory Board meeting aimed to prepare the ground for the interviews, the survey and the following project activities in the context of the IO2.
