ARTISAN Pilot Testing Programme in Portugal
In Portugal, the ARTISAN Pilot Testing Programme was held at University of Beira Interior premises, more specifically at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, and lasted 5 weeks. The piloting started on the 19th of February 2018 and finished on the 26th of March 2018. The training course was divided into one session per week, having the duration of four hours per session.
After several dissemination activities which took place at local level aiming to promote the ARTISAN training programme, 10 participants attended the training programme in Portugal. A number of trainers and guest speakers supported the training by delivering specific modules and by sharing their own experiences and case study with the participants. Five out of the six trainers are Professors at University of Beira Interior and one t
rainer is Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Guarda. Regarding the Guest Speakers, Mr. Kim Kreilgaard (Head of Office of the European Investment Bank in Portugal) and Pedro Carvalho (junior member of Portuguese Family Business in the wine sector) have been invited by our trainers and accepted our invitation gratefully.
The ARTISAN pilot training programme implemented in Portugal was divided into five main Modules, (Module 1: Transgenerational Family Entrepreneurship; Module 2: Strategic Management and Toolkit; Module 3: The Family Business Model Canvas; Module 4: Marketing Essentials, Module 5: Succession and Continuity Planning) and the Mentoring session.
All the participants, the external trainers and the guest Speakers expressed their enthusiasm and satisfaction regarding the content of the ARTISAN training programme and highlighted the importance of all modules included in the training. In addition, all trainers demonstrated availability to transmit knowledge, share experiences and support the participants on the several activities of ARTISAN project.
