KALOPESAS
“Kalopesas” is a family bakery operating in Nicosia since 1991, which initially started as a one woman show and now the whole family, including the father and the 3 brothers, are actively involved. The Kalopesas is the manifestation of the entrepreneurial family on the island, as they continuously strive to enrich their entrepreneurial strategies with new venture and product development,. The “Kalopesas” has expanded through growth phases , from solely producing bread, to patisserie products and Cypriot artisan sweets. Michael , leading the next generation is charismatic in the creation of unique ‘innocent’ chocolate products with no added sugar or colourings. The multi-generational family enterprise is facing some challenges as the new generation is taking over the rein, but also growth is shaken by fierce competition that exists in the local market.
